United Way of Rhode Island makes it easy for Rhode Islanders to get help and give back. Together, United Way invests in proven programs that help children fall in love with learning, train adults for careers, and provide childcare and other essentials to families. In addition, they give Rhode Islanders one number to call in a crisis, 2-1-1. Partnering with people from across the state strengthens their programs and allows them to help more Rhode Islanders.
The Challenge
Like many non-profit organizations, UWRI needed a combination of direction and support to keep its IT infrastructure efficient, and effective. IT was decided that the best and most cost-effective way to achieve these goals was to partner with an experienced IT Services firm that could provide a greater range of expertise than could be realistically achieved by hiring an internal staff. The partner would need to create a strategy, provide CIO level support, and support the staff with responsive, and professional help desk support.
The Solution
Brave River was selected as UWRI’s IT Managed Services Provider. Our unique MSP staffing approach for UWRI includes CIO level support including monthly strategy meetings, and two IT specialists who provide onsite and remote support to the UWRI staff. Our technicians keep in touch with the staff through the use of a ticket system, and a truly personalized approach.
