Day Kimball Healthcare is an award-winning medical services network serving Northeast Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Part of the Yale New Haven healthcare system, Day Kimball has an expansive hospital campus and four regional health care centers with over 200 doctors and other medical practitioners and a multitude of medical services and specialties.
The Day Kimball Healthcare website was long overdue for a complete overhaul. It was time to modernize their six-year-old website to make information more easily accessible to Day Kimball’s audiences of patients, healthcare providers and community members. Their website needed to be fully accessible to visitors with disabilities. They also struggled to maintain the content on their existing site and were eager to upgrade their website’s backend to take advantage of the enhanced capabilities a new CMS would offer.
With over 200 physicians and medical practitioners, 13 primary and specialty care divisions, and 66 medical specialties, our web design and development team knew they needed to focus on creating intuitive and robust search areas and capabilities throughout the site.
The new Day Kimball website site features robust search capabilities and an intuitive design that makes information easily accessible to Day Kimball’s audiences of patients, healthcare providers and community members. This helps Day Kimball deliver on its mission to improve the health and wellbeing of the community by providing the best medical care.
The site is built on the latest release of Brave River Solution’s proprietary CMS, AfterBurner. And the site design exceeds health care accessibility standards to ensure the widest possible audience can engage with it.
The site also allows for users to sign up for events and also pay for their tickets/registration when necessary. Day Kimball Healthcare staff have the capability to set up everything on their within the CMS.
