Brave River Solutions teamed up with the Rhode Island Blood Center and Panera Bread to sponsor their 4th annual blood drive.
WARWICK – December 9, 2010 – Brave River Solutions teamed up with the Rhode Island Blood Center and Panera Bread to sponsor their 4th annual blood drive on Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
The Blood Center is the only source of blood and blood products for the hospitals of Rhode Island while also serving customers in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Today's increasing blood needs prompted Brave River to contribute for the fourth time. Once again the Brave River Annual Blood Drive was held at their office at Centerville Commons in Warwick. The blood drive inspired Brave River employees, friends, family, and neighboring companies to participate in this year’s blood drive, which led to a tremendous turnout with twice as many donors compared to that of last year.
The Rhode Island Blood Center must collect 240 to 280 pints of blood daily to meet the needs of its community, relying on the generosity of volunteer blood donors. “We are very pleased with the turnout we had this year. Brave River would like to thank all of the donors for their support, and Panera Bread, for providing donors with a free loaf of bread for their donation.” said Jim McAssey, Brave River’s Vice President
