The software selection consultants of Brave River helped a New Hampshire home furnishings company choose a comprehensive ERP solution to meet their unique business requirements.
Warwick, RI - January 18, 2013 - Brave River Solutions (BRS) is pleased to announce the successful completion of an ERP software selection project for Company C, a designer and producer of home furnishings, located in Concord, NH. Company C has a multi-channel wholesale distribution and retail model that required a robust ERP system to maximize productivity throughout all operations, from design to retail.
Company C came to Brave River looking for guidance and assistance in selecting a comprehensive, fully-integrated ERP solution to support their design and production processes, as well as all channels of distribution and retail. The ideal ERP system would also afford them more meaningful and accessible data – data they could then use to improve customer service and communications.
Brave River’s ERP selection process began with a business process review. The BRS software selection team analyzed, assessed, and provided recommendations for improvement in the areas of warehouse processes, customer service and relations, shipping costs, and manufacturing costs.“ They took time to truly understand all our processes,” said Karen Garvey, Corporate Controller at Company C, Inc.
Once the review was complete, the vendor-neutral consultants of Brave River used their software selection methodology to create an RFP, interact with vendors, and thoroughly review all responses. Upon reviewing all vendor options, Brave River’s software selection consultants helped Company C identify the best ERP systems to meet their goals. The BRS team helped with detailed due diligence in managing the product demonstration phase and ultimately helped Company C to arrive at the final selection. “We knew it would be a long and through process… but Brave River went beyond our expectations. [They were] very through, very detailed, [and] had a broad knowledge of software systems so they knew what to look for and what questions to ask of the ERP providers we considered,” said Garvey. “[We] got an ROI from having Brave River assist us. We don’t have the staffing to do what BRS did for us… They helped us make the best decision, and negotiated the best deal with the provider.”
The ERP system that Company C selected with the assistance of Brave River Solutions will streamline their operations, move towards best practices in production and distribution, and provide them with more robust information so that the company can make informed business decisions moving forward.
