TravelMAINE mobile web application, designed and developed by Brave River Solutions, received a 2012 Mobile Web Award from the Web Marketing Association.
Warwick, RI – May 30, 2012 – The TravelMAINE mobile web directory app is the 2012 recipient of the Web Marketing Association’s “Best Directory or Search Engine Mobile Website” award. The TravelMAINE web app was developed by Rhode Island-based Brave River Solutions to compliment the Maine travel guide’s print directory, extending the guidebook into digital media.
Brave River Solutions built the TravelMAINE app on their Mobeo™ directory framework. Mobeo™ is a fully customizable, ready-to-go, mobile app framework that offers companies an opportunity to launch a mobile application quickly and efficiently. It can be tailored to suit the mobile needs of any company or industry.

The TravelMAINE Mobile Guide is a geolocation-enabled directory of businesses across Maine, presented as a web-based mobile application. While the mobile guide greatly benefits TravelMAINE advertisers, its greater purpose is to help tourists within the state find businesses or attractions near them, thereby boosting the local economy. Using geolocation, it allows users to search for nearby attractions, restaurants, hotels, shops, and events from their smartphone, tablet, or other web-enabled mobile device. Maps, contact information, menus, and even coupons are available in the directory listings. As it is a web-based app, it can be accessed on any operating system (Android, iPhone OS, etc.) by simply visiting m.gotravelmaine.com on a mobile device.
